Mixing Procedure

Base Oil Preparation

Heat the base oil to 60-70°C if conditions permit. This enhances dispersion efficiency and reduces mixing time.

Organoclay Addition

Add organoclay while stirring at typical concentrations of 0.5-3.0% by weight. Maintain agitation for 5-10 minutes to ensure complete wetting.

Activation (If Required)

For certain grades, add polar activator (methanol or proprietary activator) at 20-30% of organoclay weight. Some grades like CP-EZ require no activation.

High-Shear Mixing

Apply high-shear mixing for 15-30 minutes to achieve full gel development. Use appropriate mixing equipment for field operations.
