Grease Formulations

Dosage & Activator

  • Organoclay: 7-10% of total formulation
  • Polar Activator: Acetone/Water (95/5)
  • Activator Dosage: 20-30% of organoclay weight
  • Final Addition: 2-3% of total formulation

Application Procedure

  1. Heat base oil to 60-70°C if possible
  2. Add organoclay while stirring (5-10 minutes)
  3. Add polar activator and other additives
  4. Stir for 25-30 minutes with high shear
  5. Process through colloid mill and homogenizer
  6. Deair, filtrate, and pack
