CP-EDS Organo clay Rheological Additive

CP-EDS is a high-performance organoclay rheological additive, specially formulated for use in systems with medium to high polarity. It is particularly effective in aromatic solvent systems, as well as non-solvent formulations such as inks, sealants, and adhesives.

Organophilic clay CP-EDS provides superior thickening, suspension, and stability, offering excellent control over viscosity and flow properties. Its ability to enhance the dispersion of solid particles and improve product consistency makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications, ensuring reliable performance and high-quality formulations in both industrial and commercial settings.

Application of CP-EDS Organo clay Rheological Additive

 CP-EDS is used in the following applications:

  • Lubricating grease
  • Paints
  • Inks
  • Cosmetics
  • Cleaning agent

 

Using of CP-EDS Organo clay Rheological Additive

CP-EDS When it is used in grease, suitable polar activators are acetone, 95% ethanole, 95% methanol, dipropyl carbonate. Procedures are suggested as below:

1.Heat the solvent to 6070

  1. Add CP-EDS (7%-10% in weight of total formulation) under agitation.
  2. Add polar activator (3% of in weight of total formulation) and other additives, mix at high speed for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Pump it to pass through gel grinder or homogenizer.
  4. Air driving, filtering, and packing.

In other application, no need to heat the solvent, but pre-gel procedure is necessary.

Commonly addition level is 0.2%-2%.

Storage

CP-EDS has a shelf life of 2 years, and should be stored in ventilated cool and dry place.
