Organic bentonite, also known as rheology modifier, organophilic clay, or modified bentonite, is a high-efficiency organoclay rheology modifier modified from sodium bentonite powder.
This modified montmorillonite is specifically designed for solvent-based systems and provides excellent thickening ability, high thixotropy, and superior suspension properties.

Usage Instructions for Grease Applications
Step-by-Step Process
- 1 Heat base oil to 60-70°C if conditions permit
- 2 Add organoclay while stirring (7-10% of total formulation), stir 5-10 minutes
- 3 Add polar activator (2-3% of total formulation), then add other additives
- 4 Stir for 25-30 minutes
- 5 Use pump for colloid grinding and homogenizer
- 6 Deair, filtrate, and pack
Important Notes
Polar Activator Required: Use acetone/water (95/5) mixture. Dosage: 20-30% of organoclay weight.
