Organically Modified Clay Premium Organic Bentonite Solutions
High-efficiency organoclay rheology modifier derived from sodium bentonite. Engineered for superior thickening, thixotropic properties, and anti-settling performance across diverse industrial applications including coatings, drilling fluids, inks, and lubricants.
What is Organically Modified Clay?
Organically modified clay, also known as organoclay or organobentonite, is a high-performance rheology modifier created through the modification of natural sodium bentonite powder. This advanced material serves multiple functions as a thixotropic agent, viscosity control agent, and anti-settling agent.
When incorporated into various formulations including coatings, greases, adhesives, inks, or oilfield drilling fluids, it delivers repeatable rheological properties with exceptional thickening ability, high thixotropy, superior suspension characteristics, and effective anti-pigment sagging performance.

Usage Guidelines
Optimal application procedures for maximum performance across different formulation systems.
Grease Formulation Procedure
Heat Base Oil
Heat the base oil to 60-70°C if conditions permit for optimal dispersion.
Add Organoclay
Add organoclay while stirring (7-10% of total formulation). Stir for 5-10 minutes.
Add Polar Activator
Add polar activator (acetone/water 95/5) at 2-3% of total formulation. Add other additives and stir for 25-30 minutes.
Processing
Use pump to pass through colloid mill and homogenizer. Deair, filtrate, and pack.
Note: High-speed dispersant and extended dispersion time can achieve better gelation performance.
