Acetone/Water mixture (95/5 ratio)

Dosage: 20-30% of organoclay weight

Step-by-Step Procedure

  1. 1 Heat base oil to 60-70°C if conditions permit
  2. 2 Add organoclay (7-10% of total formulation) while stirring for 5-10 minutes
  3. 3 Add polar activator (2-3% of total formulation) and other additives
  4. 4 Stir for 25-30 minutes with high shear
  5. 5 Process through colloid mill and homogenizer, then deair and filter
