General Specifications
Key Advantages Why Choose CAMP-SHINNING Organoclay
High Efficiency
Superior gel efficiency with minimal dosage requirements. Achieves optimal viscosity at lower addition levels compared to conventional thickeners.
Excellent Thixotropy
Provides shear-thinning behavior for easy application and quick recovery to high viscosity at rest, preventing sagging and dripping.
Anti-Settling Properties
Maintains uniform suspension of fillers and pigments throughout storage, ensuring consistent product quality and performance.
Easy to Use
Simple incorporation into formulations with standard mixing equipment. No special pre-gel procedures required for most grades.
Consistent Quality
ISO9001 certified production with comprehensive quality control. Every batch is tested and retained for traceability.
Light Color & High Clarity
Minimal impact on final product appearance. Produces clear gels with excellent transparency in compatible solvent systems.
Usage Instructions General Application Guidelines
Standard Incorporation Procedure
Pre-Dispersion
Add organoclay to the liquid phase (resin, solvent, or base oil) under moderate agitation. Typical addition level: 0.5-3% based on total formulation weight.
High Shear Mixing
Increase agitation speed to achieve high shear conditions. Mix for 15-30 minutes to ensure complete dispersion and activation of the organoclay.
Polar Activator Addition (if required)
For non-self-activating grades, add polar activator (typically methanol, ethanol, or water at 20-30% of organoclay weight). Continue mixing for 10-15 minutes.
Complete Formulation
Add remaining ingredients (pigments, fillers, additives) and mix thoroughly. Adjust viscosity if needed by varying organoclay dosage.
Quality Check
Allow formulation to rest for 24 hours and verify viscosity, anti-sagging properties, and overall performance meet specifications.
Important Notes
- • Use high-speed disperser or homogenizer for optimal results
- • Avoid adding organoclay to pre-mixed formulations
- • Temperature range: 20-30°C for best dispersion
- • Store in dry, cool conditions (0-30°C)
Optimization Tips
- • Extend mixing time for enhanced gelation
- • Test different grades for optimal performance
- • Adjust dosage based on desired viscosity profile
- • Contact technical support for custom formulations
