Usage Guidelines

Proper mixing procedures and recommendations for optimal performance in workover mud systems

Mixing Procedure

1

Base Fluid Preparation

Heat base oil to 60-70°C for optimal dispersion. Ensure clean mixing equipment and proper agitation.

2

Organoclay Addition

Add organoclay slowly while maintaining high shear mixing. Typical concentration: 0.5-2.0% by weight.

3

Polar Activator

Add polar activator (methanol/water 95:5) at 20-30% of organoclay weight. Mix for 15-20 minutes.

4

Final Processing

Add remaining additives and continue mixing. Use high-shear equipment for complete dispersion.

Dosage Recommendations

Completion Fluids 0.5-1.0%

Optimal for minimal formation damage

Workover Fluids 1.0-1.5%

Enhanced cutting suspension and hole cleaning

Kill Weight Fluids 1.5-2.0%

Maximum fluid loss control and stability

Packer Fluids 0.75-1.25%

Long-term stability and corrosion protection
