Application Process

Step-by-step guide for incorporating organoclay thickener into grease formulations

Heat Base Oil

If conditions permit, heat the base oil to 60-70°C to improve dispersion efficiency and reduce processing time.

Add Organoclay

Add organoclay while stirring at 7-10% of the total formulation weight. Continue stirring for 5-10 minutes to ensure proper dispersion.

Add Polar Activator

Add polar activator (acetone/water 95/5) at 2-3% of total formulation. Then add other additives and stir for 25-30 minutes.

Homogenization

Use pump to pass through colloid grinding and homogenizer for optimal gel structure development and consistency.

Final Processing

Deair, filtrate, and pack. Use high-speed dispersant and extend processing time for enhanced gelation performance.
