Dispersion Guidelines for Rain Guard Manufacturing

Pre-mix Solvent

Add organoclay to kerosene or aromatic oil portion (50-60% of total solvent) before other components.

High-Shear Mix

Disperse at high shear (2,000-3,000 rpm) for 10-15 minutes until lump-free gel is formed.

Activator (CP-26)

For CP-26: add 95% ethanol at 1-3% on organoclay weight during high-shear mixing step.

Let Down

Add bitumen, EVA, resin, CaCO₃ and remaining solvent under moderate agitation. Allow gel to rebuild before filling.
