Solventborne Organoclay Anti-Settling Suspension Additive
High-efficiency organoclay rheology modifier designed for solvent-based systems. Provides excellent anti-settling, thixotropic, and suspension properties for coatings, inks, adhesives, and industrial applications.
Product Overview
Our solventborne organoclay is a high-efficiency rheology modifier, modified from sodium bentonite powder. This organoclay (modified montmorillonite) is specifically designed for solvent-based systems and is particularly suitable for low-polarity, medium-polarity to high-polarity solvents.
Excellent Thickening Ability
Provides superior viscosity control and rheological properties in various solvent-based formulations.
High Thixotropy
Exhibits excellent thixotropic behavior, ensuring optimal flow properties during application.
Anti-Pigment Sagging
Prevents pigment settling and sagging, maintaining uniform distribution throughout the formulation.

Usage Guidelines & Recommendations
Proper handling and application procedures to achieve optimal performance from our organoclay additives.
Application Procedure
Pre-heating (Optional)
If conditions permit, heat the base system to 60-70°C for improved dispersion efficiency.
Add Organoclay
Add organoclay while stirring at recommended dosage levels (typically 0.5-2.0% by weight). Stir for 5-10 minutes.
Polar Activator (If Required)
For certain applications, add polar activator (acetone/water 95/5) at 20-30% of organoclay weight.
High Shear Mixing
Use high-speed dispersant or grinding machine for optimal dispersion. Mix for 25-30 minutes total.
Final Processing
Use pump circulation through colloid mill and homogenizer. Deair, filter, and package as required.
Recommended Dosage
Solvent Compatibility
Compatible with a wide range of organic solvents:
Important Notes
- • Always test compatibility in small batches first
- • Avoid exposure to excessive moisture during handling
- • Use appropriate personal protective equipment
