Printing Inks: 1.0-3.0% by weight
Adhesives: 1.5-4.0% by weight
Cosmetics: 0.5-1.5% by weight
Dispersion Method
1. Add organoclay to solvent under moderate agitation
2. Mix for 5-10 minutes at medium speed
3. Add polar activator if required (acetone/water 95:5)
4. Continue mixing for 15-20 minutes
5. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly
Important Notes:
- • For optimal clarity, avoid over-shearing during dispersion
- • Pre-gel formation may be required for some applications
- • Temperature during mixing should be maintained at 60-70°C when possible
- • Always add organoclay before other thickening agents
